Scene 15 Schedual For Screenings, Free Of Charge And Ready For Bookings!!

We're all gearing up for the kick off of Scene 15 Youth Film Festival  happening in Waterford City this Tuesday, 30th November, to Thursday, 2nd December! Very talented film entries are being screened throughout the festival and the schedual goes as follows:

Talented Pieces Of Work From Youths Nationwide!

We've been organizing Scene 15 Youth Film Festival for a few months now and the time has flown by. We kick off with Scene 15 on Tuesday, 30th November, and continue until Thursday, 2nd December. The films that we have in so far are very talented pieces of work made by youths from around the country, many from youth art groups, school film groups and we have some individual assignments too. The genres range from comedy to animation to thriller. We're very pleased with the effort put in by all of these young film buffs and we cannot wait to show the public of Waterford just what the youths of Ireland have to offer!

We have our venues booked for the duration of the festival, Storm cinema for our morning screenings, which will be mostly filled with the school and college classes that participated in Scene 15, and then the evening screenings will be held in the Granary Theatre, Waterford, which will be open to the public. Our Gala night will be held Thurs, 2nd Dec, as we present the winning films with their special awards. There will be awards for Best Comedy, Best Documentary, Made in Waterford Award, The Audience Award and Best Fiction.

Closing Date Now Open!! Get Your Apps In Today ;D

Okay people closing date was reviewed yesterday and we have decided to leave the date open, so we can continue recieving your films and applications over the coming weeks, but we do urge people to get them in as soon as possible as the Festival will be happening on the Tuesday November 30th to December 2nd. So download your application forms from the Waterford Youth Arts website and send it into us in The Arch, Barrack St. Waterford!!

Closing Date Reviewed For Extension

Scene 15 Youth Film Festival is currently reviewing the film festival closing date of Monday, November 8th and we are thinking of moving the date to the next week of November 15th! Because of much interest and late applicants we think this is the best thing to do. So it's not too late to get your films in to Scene 15 Youth Film Festival where you can download the much needed application forms from waterfordyoutharts.com and send them into our offices in The Arch, Barrack St, Waterford :D We are looking forward to viewing all our entries and cannot wait to see what kind of standards are set for our next Scene 15 Youth Film Festival as this event is the first of many!! Scene 15's closing date for application forms is nearing but there's still time to show us what you got by downloading an application form from Waterford Youth Arts today, and send it in to The Arch, Barrack St. Waterford with your film/s for the week of November 8th. 

At the moment there's the Imagine Festival happening in Waterford all this week with tonnes of fantastic events taking place around the city including theatre, art exhibitions, film and so much more. But don't be dissapinted when this festival is over because Scene 15 is another fantastic one to look forward to this Novemeber 30th!! Never a dull moment in Waterford and right now you can get involved with Scene 15 by either being part of the movie set or being part of the audience as we experience the talented work of many lucky finalists from around the country. Closing Date Coming To A Close For Scene 15 Applications!!

Hey guys Closing date for Scene 15 application forms is November 8th. We Need You!!! and your films :) Download those applications today from www.waterfordyoutharts.com/scene15 and send it into our offices in The Arch, Barrack St. Waterford!! Trust me this is one Film Festival you do not want to miss out on!! With great prizes and a chance to get your film shown on the big screen you'd be mad not to join in the fun!!

Scene 15 will have a very special celebrity guest coming for the Gala Night of December 2nd where amazing prizes will be presented to the winning films.  Who do you think will be the celebrity!? Anyone care to have a guess??

Application Forms and Frolics!!

Just over 3 weeks until the Scene 15 films and application forms are due in this November, Monday 8th!! If any youths have made a film in a youth group or school group, or even independantly, we want to see it!! The films must be either entirely made by youths under the age of 21, or adults have helped on the film project with youths involved. Either way, you are in for a very big chance of winning an award from one of 5 categories!! 

They are: Best Fiction, Best Comedy, Audience Award, Made in Waterford Award, and Best Documentary.
